In the Light of the King's Countenance

In the light of the king’s countenance is life; And his favor is as a cloud of the latter rain. Prov.16:15 (ASV) 

What does this mean? To me, it means the "latter rain outpouring of the Holy Spirit," prophesied in both Joel 2 and Acts 2, is a LOVE THING! Have you ever - even if for a moment - gazed into the eyes of a lover... and stopped there in time to feel the warmth? That's a "latter rain" out...

pouring!

The warm "April showers that bring May flowers!" And that's what this KEY Proverb unfolds about what HE wants to do in this season of planet Earth.

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and the regaining of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." (Luke 4:18-19)

Here Yeshua closes the book of Isaiah (61:1-2) in mid-sentence!

King Yeshua COULD have gone on to read "and the day of vengeance of our God.." which rounds out the original Isaiah 61 passage...

But He didn't... because He knows that "in the light of the King's countenance is LIFE.. and "the year of YHWH's FAVOR" - or the AGE of YHWH's FAVOR - "is as a cloud of the latter rain..."

The favor of God is pouring out on you now. This is a world of abundance. Open your eyes and connect with His face of love.

Everything else will make sense from that perspective..

going there through Scripture..

entering into His heavenly reality through prayer and worship..

through the lessons of nature..

THERE - EVERYWHERE..

is where we get the warm rain

of His grace

and favor!

Book of Seeds

James 1:3-7 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.

James 3:13-18 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and don’t lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Look and Feel

The "look and feel" of the New Testament, New Covenant reality of the Jewish faith is as simple as the Emissary Sha'ul's (Paul's) greeting in every letter he wrote to the Ekklesia (mistranslated, "church"):

"Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!" (NET) or "Favor to you and peace from Elohim our Father and the Master יהושע Messiah." (TheScriptures) (Eph.1:2 - Bible.cc link)

That's pretty positive, I'd say! And that's HOW we obey the truth! By His grace/favor and His peace... His shalom!

Grace and peace to you, my friend. Yeshua's done it all. Rest in His finished work as you express the love with "works prepared for you from before the foundations of the worlds." (Eph.2:10)
